Halloween and beyond

 Lily's 1st grade school picture.

Halloween 2012.  Kian is a bear.  Again.  It was either that or a ladybug.  Kate is a cheerleader.  Her bag was big enough, by the way.  Lily is a unicorn.  She was a fairy princess for her school costume.

A magnet board I made thanks to inspiration from Pinterest.  Kian really likes it.  Even still.

Kate loved the one snowstorm we've had this year.  She was outside most of the next day.

We went to Discovery Gateway children's museum with my brother's family.

We ended up buying a family pass because of the good therapy opportunities for Kian.  He loved playing in the water.

We went to City Creek and Temple Square to get in the holiday mood.  We can't pass up the play area when we are there.  The kids love it.

Happy Holidays!

Walking?

Kian has started taking steps, although at this point its more like his feet are trying to keep up with his leaning top half.  But at least he is bending his knees and starting to balance.  To help with that, he just got some injections (like botox, but called Dysport) in his calves today to try to help loosen his ankles and keep his body in alignment.

What we've been up to

So we've just been hanging out, getting used to having Lily in school, and running here and there for appointments.

This is what toddler multi-tasking looks like.

Well, hello, big boy.  I couldn't stand his high-chair anymore, so he's in a booster now.

 All dressed for church.

Therapy with Michael at the park.

 Kian and his cousin David.

Kian got new braces for night-time stretching.

We call them his Iron-Man boots.

And other randomness

So, yes, I've done four posts today.  It's feast or famine around here.

Chris had a birthday.  We made the traditional birthday Creme Brulee.  What, you don't do that at your house?

First day of First Grade.

We went to the new Natural History Museum of Utah.  Lots of fun to be had there.

Kian's current stretching regimen.  He sits here in his soft leg braces for as long as we let him.  And he is disturbingly proficient with the iPad.  Oh, and he is officially 2 now.  His due date was Aug 27, so he is now 2 years old adjusted.

Kian got tubes in his ears at PCMC.  It was the least stressful surgery experience we've had there to date.  We were home by 9:30 am the same day.

Gorgeous children...

...if I do say so myself.

Reunion

My family had a reunion in August.  We went to Lagoon.  Our kids had a great time and can't wait to go back.

The little girl cousins stayed together for a while on the little kid rides.

Kate is the one under the waterfall.  She loved it.

The fabulous bumper cars.  Kate and Lily both surprised us with their bravery on roller coasters.  Our family favorite was Bombora.

Kian rode the carousel and the Ferris Wheel.  Maybe next time he can ride the rides.

Most of us hiked Ensign Peak.

 Lots of cousins.

That's Grandma waving at everyone on Ensign Peak from her apartment.

Camping fun

We got to meet Olivia.  She is Chris's niece's baby.  Another cousin!  Yay!

We went on a campout with Chris's side of the family.

 Lots of fun.

 Lots of cousins.

 Lots of dirt.

 Lots and lots of dirt.

Fun camping!
